An incredible beginning of the 2015-2016 season for the Montreal Canadiens

What a beginning for the Montreal Canadiens! In the first 10 games, the Canadiens had 9 wins and 1 loss. Michel Therrien, the Montreal Canadiens coach, put Alex Galchenyuk back to Center, his natural position. Therrien trusts, Galchenyuk, Pacioretty, Plekanec, Gallagher, Subban, Markov, Petry and Emelin, since they get a lot of ice time.

Not a bad start for veteran Andrei Markov in the 2015-2016 season

Last year, during the playoffs, Andrei Markov, a defenseman for the Montreal Canadians, performed very badly. Now he is playing well in the start of this new season. In the game played against the Buffalo Sabres, Markov scored 1 goal and added 4 assists, a career high in points in one game. Markov, who wears number 79, is one of the leaders in the NHL for points as a defenseman.

 NHL Draft 2015

The first overall pick, Connor Mcdavid, is off to a good start for his young career. If he wants the Calder Cup, the trophy for the best rookie, he will have to compete against Jack Eichel, the second overall pick, playing for the Buffalo Sabres. In comparison, Dylan Strome was drafted third overall by the Arizona Coyotes and Mitchell Marner was drafted fourth overall by the Toronto Maple Leafs, but neither made the NHL. However, Noah Hanifin, fifth overall, is playing for the Carolina Hurricanes.
